ASK KENTUCKY LEGISLATURE TO HEAR HB 345 MEDIGAP BILL TODAY

If you’re an under-age 65 kidney disease patient or a family member, you know how difficult it can be to keep financially above water, juggling how to pay for rent, food and the out-of-pocket medical costs. You may have tried to get on the kidney transplant wait list only to be told that you need secondary health insurance to qualify for transplant.

There’s a bill in the Kentucky General Assembly that would help ease these financial burdens and provide access to kidney transplant for under age-65 kidney failure patients. HB 345 would provide affordable access to Medicare Supplement Insurance coverage, also called Medigap.
