Until now, insurance companies have been able to cancel coverage for dialysis patients simply because they received financial assistance on their premiums from organizations like the American Kidney Fund (AKF). This has to stop.
Legislation for this issue was introduced last Congress, and we will let you know when it is introduced again soon.
