Urge Congress to Support Integrated Care for Dialysis Patients!
If you’re a kidney disease patient or a loved one, you know how difficult it can be to manage multiple health conditions, prescriptions and doctors. That job is made harder when doctors and specialists aren’t talking to each other to make sure they deliver the best care possible. All patients should have access to integrated care in which health care providers share information with one another in real time about a patient’s health, treatments prescribed and services delivered.
Now there’s a bill in Congress to make that happen. The BETTER Kidney Care Act (H.R. 4942/S. 2649) would enhance access to care coordination services for thousands of patients across the United States currently living with End-Stage Renal Disease. It could also help with services not covered by Medicare such as dental care and transportation.
